I'm pretty confident you've heard ...Hmmmm. I'm pretty confident you've heard of Kurt Vonnegut! So ...<br /><br />That George Saunders is a very very funny satiric skewering writer. I've read his second story collection, <i>Pastoralia</i>, but never gotten around to his first. DFW was very high on it when it first came out, I think, in '95 or so. He mentioned it in his <i>Salon</i> interview w/Laura Miller, and he raved about it.
